I have tested this plugin out and it worked wonderfully for me.

With this plugin you can create what is called “Pies”. As said above “embedded HTML representations of actual tweets in your blog posts”

This plugin also has a TinyMCE editor button to easily search and embed a tweet  like this

Twitter Mentions as Comments

“Twitter Mentions as Comments scours Twitter for people talking about your site & silently inserts their Tweets alongside your existing comments.”

I have written about this plugin before in a previous, but I find this plugin so helpful and unique that I want to have it in this Review also.

Here is a link to an older post I wrote with step by step instructions on how to set this plugin up.

This plug searches twitter for tweets with a link to your blog or blog post and turns the tweet into a comment on the post they linked to.

3 Great Plugins

1.)   Dashboard Post-it

Adds a simple ‘Post-it’ widget to the WordPress Dashboard that allows you to leave yourself or other authors a note.

I have installed and activated this plugin on my blog and it works wonderfully and helped me remember ideas for future posts.  I recommend this plugin.

2.)  Review Ratings (shortcodes & buttons)

Simple plugin which adds [rating=5] and [relatedratings=5] shortcodes and visual editor buttons for inserting book and movie ratings.

This is one of my many favorite plugins for WordPress.org seriously I use it all the time.

It comes in handy when I write reviews and or give a ratting. This plugin works wonderfully  and I am still using it.

There are buttons in both the visual and HTML editor to easily insert these tags. There’s also an options page which, among other things, allows you to replace the default star character with any other unicode character, for instance, a ♥.

I give this plugin a 5 out of a 5 ratting

 Wibiya provides a social bar that enables blogs and websites to integrate the most exciting services and web apps onto their site.

Our platform is a one-stop shop for fully customizable, easily manageable third party web apps. Wibiya also provides real time stats and information on the apps from the Wibiya user dashboard.

I use this plugin on my blog Hroot and it work great I love the twitter feature.

With Wibiya you have to set up an account on wibiya.com and you create your bar on their site then you can install the bar onto your blog.

Wibiya has a Free version and a Premium version.

1.)   Share and Follow

Share and Follow in a WordPress.org plugin that enables you to “add Share Icons, Follow Links, Facebook Like, Twitter Tweet and other buttons on your site in the way you want. Simple & adaptable social network”

I use Share and Follow on my blog Hroot as a way to share all the social medias that you can find Hroot on. The plugin works great and I love it.

2.)  Simple Twitter Connect

I think one of my favorite features of this plugin is how you can sign into your dashboard using twitter.

I use the shortcode version of this plugin and all you have to do is add the shortcode to your post, and there you have it a +1 button. This plugin works great.

How to: Twitter Comments on WordPress.org

Twitter Mentions as Comments

A WordPress.org Plugin “How To”

This plugin was created by  benbalter

First you will want to login to your wordpress dashboard.

On the right hand side Click the “Plug In” drop down menu and then click “Add New”

 

 

 

 

Enter into the Search “Twitter Mentions as Comments” and click “Search Plugins”

This will bring up the results page.

You want to chose the top result titled: Twitter Mentions as Comments 

Click “Install Now”

A window will pop up asking if you would like to install this plugin, click “Yes”

 

Next WordPress will ask you to enter your “Connection Information” then click “Proceed”

This will bring to the “Installing Page”

Click “Activate Plugin” and the plugin will activate.

Next is to update the setting of the plugin.

On the left hand side click the “Settings” drop down menu then click

“Twitter – > Comments” to customize the plugin.

When you are done updating the options page,

click “Check For New Tweets Now” and if someone has tweeted with a link to your blog you will see you have some new comments to moderate.

This is a great plugin if you would like to integrate twitter and your WordPress.org blog together.

I  use this plugin and it works wonderfully.
